COVID-19 Response

A Message to Our Valued Business Partners

We at Schimberg Co. have been closely monitoring the situation resulting from the COVID-19 epidemic.  We are staying informed on any recommendations that organizations like our local State Departments of Public Health, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) may have.

In response, Schimberg Co. has implemented the following actions to minimize risk to our employees, while also maintaining regular business hours and 24/7 emergency access at all our locations.

  • All non-essential “meetings or gatherings” of 10 or more employees have been put on hold until further notice, including all training seminars.
  • Implemented employee guidelines and expectations for the onsite workday.  Including, but not limited to, hygiene requirements and social distancing.
  • We have provided “stay at home” options for employees who deem it necessary to self-quarantine.
  • Suspended all Schimberg outside sales business travel indefinitely.  Any future customer site visit requests deemed business critical will be addressed on a case by case basis.
  • Implemented new customer guidelines to protect the health and safety of our employees.
  • Required additional services from our custodians to provide additional cleaning of our offices, focusing especially on high-touch and highly trafficked surfaces.  Our employees have also taken the liberty of doing additional cleaning of their own respective work areas.
  • Modified our walk-in/counter sales procedures to limit our employees’ exposure to individuals outside our company.
  • Implemented procedures to receive materials safely.

In addition to our own safety measures, we are respectful to the rapidly-changing protocols and procedures of our business partners. We fully respect all implemented customer guidelines and will adhere to your procedures.

We are in constant communication with our vendors and logistic partners.  We currently are not experiencing any disruptions in our supply chain or ability to continue our daily business functions.  Our stock inventory levels are exceptional.

As a financially sound, 102-year old company, we have weathered many turbulent times over the years. Our forefathers laid a strong foundation and our employees are resilient.  We know that together we will make it through the challenging days ahead and will see ourselves emerge stronger in the end.

As we adjust to the rapidly changing nature of this outbreak, we will do our best to update you on any changes that may impact our ability to provide the products and services you may require. Announcements will be added to the special COVID-19 section on our website at

For our employees, we are closely monitoring the activity of our lawmakers as they work towards approving measures that will hopefully provide guidance and relief to businesses and employees.  Additional actions may be taken as a result of governmental actions.

If you have any questions about our policies during this tumultuous time, please feel free to contact Charles Schimberg, Dave Schimberg, Dave Sunstrom, Bill Willis, or Donita Sanderson HR.  Together, we will get through this.

Thank you, and please stay safe.
